Located in Cerdagne, in the heart of a region historically active in solar energy, the Llo plant is proof of the tremendous capacity of concentrated solar power to meet energy needs in a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach.
With an electrical capacity of 9 MW and thermal energy storage, it produces electricity during the day and also part of the night. All the electricity produced is fed into the national grid.
ELLO has been operating the plant since 2023. It owns the design used to generate energy, which includes the sun-tracking system with mirrors. To learn more about its technology, click here.
ELLO relies on the team in charge of the operation and maintenance of the plant that has been present since its commissioning. Their expertise and knowledge of the technology and processes ensure optimal operation and performance.
The Llo thermodynamic solar power plant was previously operated by SUNCNIM, a subsidiary of CNIM Group. Click here to learn more about its history.
