2008
CNIM, a French industrial engineering contractor and equipment manufacturer based in La Seyne-sur-Mer (Var, France), is entering the renewable energy market and is setting up its Solar Division.

2012
CNIM is the winner of the call for tenders launched in 2011 by the Commission de Régulation de l’Energie (CRE) for its project to build and operate a concentrated thermodynamic solar power plant in Llo in the Pyrénées-Orientales (France). Creation of the ELLO project company – in which CNIM has a majority stake – to raise funds.

2015
Creation of SUNCNIM by CNIM and the Bpifrance “Société de Projets Industriels” fund. SUNCNIM will build and operate the solar power plant on behalf of ELLO.

2016
ELLO closes the financing for the construction of the Llo concentrated solar power plant with a banking pool. ELLO’s shareholders are SUNCNIM and the Banque des Territoires in equal parts. The construction of the plant starts on 12 September.
